Moreover, it includes our CloudSwitch™ technology stack, enabling the device to communicate with any IoT cloud (e.g. Microsoft, IBM and Amazon). CAN I CONNECT VARIOUS SENSORS (DIFFERENT VENDORS AND TYPES) TO CLOUD OF THINGS?

We have a two-part solution: 1) DeviceTone™ Client runs on any communication module and supports a wide range of protocols (WIFI, ULE, LORRA, Bluetooth, ISM and more). It delivers all the core functionalities a connected device needs: security, firmware, configuration, control and connectivity. DeviceTone’s patented technology gives you the power to connect to any cloud and switch to any cloud. 2) DeviceTone™ Manager puts you in control. Monitor, support and manage your devices, one to one million at a time, from our dashboard or integrated into your own custom solution.

HOW IS DEVICETONE™ INTEGRATED?
The solution can be integrated in gateways as an additional package to be compiled with the embedded Linux toolchain. For bare metal communication modules, if we don’t have a compiled firmware, we will compile our ANSI C-based embedded solution and provide a client.
WHAT INFORMATION CAN BE COLLECTED FROM DEVICETONE™-ENABLED DEVICES?
Any sensor information from the device. You can remotely control the device from our dashboard or through our API.
WHAT ACTIONS CAN BE TAKEN ON THESE DEVICES?
Any action to operate the device such as stop, start, change temperature, turn on energy saving mode, etc. depending on the device.
HOW DOES CLOUD INTEGRATION WORK?
You select the target cloud from our management dashboard and enter your IoT cloud credentials. Our patented CloudSwitch™ technology will remotely update the firmware on the devices to start directing IoT data to the selected cloud.
CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOLUTION SECURITY PRINCIPLES?
The system provides security layers by design. Each connected product, gateway, and any 3rd-party product that will connect to the ecosystem will include security elements to ensure that every single device in the field is securely accessed.
On the physical layer, the Cloud of Things security token / certificate is stored in an internal location of the flash memory of the device. We are not using the MAC address as a token. A hacker would need to find a way to read the specific memory location to get the certificate or key, which is unique to the device. If a hacker finds a way to read the key in one of the devices, he will not have access to the rest of the system, limiting potential damage to that specific device. The entire communication stack is based on TLS encryption (“advanced SSL”) with certificate authentication. Since we control the entire communication stack, someone who wants to eavesdrop the communication packets will not be able to do so.
